Privacy Policy

This extension is operated by Jules Ilagan ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the Ploppy Chrome extension and its backend collect, why, and how you can control it. It's written to match exactly what the product does — not a generic template.
What we collect

| Your accomplishments and CV text | What you paste or upload in the extension, used as the source material for job-fit scoring and resume generation. |
| Your stated priorities | Things like preferred salary range, cities, remote-work needs, and benefits — used to score how well a job matches what you're looking for. |
| Job posting text and URL | Read from the currently open job posting page when you click "Analyze," or pasted manually. Used to generate the fit score and tailored resume for that posting. |
| Generated resumes and your edits | The tailored resumes the tool produces, plus any corrections or dismissals you make during the fact-check step — the latter are used to make future resumes for similar roles better match your preferences. |
| Basic usage logs | Which actions you took (e.g. "analyzed a job," "generated a resume") and how much AI processing they used, for cost monitoring — not shared or sold. |
What we don't do
- We don't run ads or ad tracking.
- We don't sell or share your data with data brokers.
- We don't use third-party analytics or advertising scripts. We keep minimal first-party product events such as sign-ins and completed analyses, without storing document or job text in those events.
- We only read the job posting page you're actively viewing when you ask us to — the extension does not browse or scrape on its own.
Who else touches your data
To provide the service, some data is necessarily processed by:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — job posting text and your accomplishments/CV content are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the fit analysis and tailored resume. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Supabase — our hosting provider for the database, file storage, and authentication. Your account data and generated resumes are stored on Supabase's infrastructure.
- Brevo — our transactional email provider, used only to deliver your sign-in code.
- Crisp — the live-chat widget on this website, used only if you choose to message us to report a bug or request a feature. Anything you type in that chat, and the basic technical data Crisp needs to run the widget, is processed by Crisp. See Crisp's privacy policy.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete any analyzed job and its generated resume at any time from "My Matches" in the extension — this permanently removes the record and the stored resume file.
You can export your account data or permanently delete your account and associated data from the extension's profile screen.
Security, and who can see your data
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Within the app itself, your data is scoped to your account — you only ever see your own accomplishments, matches, and resumes, and other users can't see yours.
Beyond the app, I'm honest about this rather than overstating isolation that doesn't exist: as the operator, I have administrative access to the underlying database (true of anyone running a service like this) and can technically view stored user data. I only do so to operate, debug, or support the service — never to sell it, share it, or use it for anything else.
Your session token is stored locally in your browser via Chrome's extension storage APIs and is not accessible to other extensions or websites.
Who can use this
This tool is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after a change means you accept the updated policy.
